[Mood Board] Virus really the reason or a catalyst for the change of relationship?

I am using allegory as the mainstream. I think the virus more like a catalyst rather than a reason for changing the relationship between family members and society or even international relationships.

Many conflicts that we are facing most like this are not because of the virus but the political issue. For instance, which shops to go, colors of the mask, unreliable on government. All those conflicts are most likely not related to the virus but are a catalyst to sharpen all the things. The relationship seems like a broken plate, may not be able to fix it.

  1. Ina Wu says:

An allegory of virus as a catalyst is a good starting point. One of your strongest angle on thinking through the current situation is the origami dragons that have offered a productive window into the inner world of the an individual (you) in isolation a form of boredom relief and escape into the imaginative world of paper anime. I hope you retain them as your allegorical figures in your video and continue to use them to present your interpretation of the present health, social and political situation. Perhaps act out a scenario as reported in the news by re-enacting a breaking news segment using these allegorical figures. This adaptation and re-setting into the context of your apartment/room space can be a very productive method of reflection. The writing of the script then can be an adaptation of an actual event and you will also need to consider the scale of the figures in relation to the room in which the re-enactment take place. You will also need to attribute qualities to the various figures, elements and space/s in the video. E.g. the phoenix as the virus? (in mythology, the phoenix rises from the ashes of its predecessor and regenerates…)
