The park which has shrunk so much over the past few years is so quiet even on a Sunday, not because of the little rain, but the parks have been closed down since the first-ever patient died from the coronavirus, who was a resident of this site in Whampoa Garden. Well, even before the park was closed down, there were scarce children playing in it, maybe playing in parks is not interesting to kids anymore; as fewer people are using this park, the facilities are getting smaller and smaller, and now at its current state. Should the virus outbreak has ended, there may be kids playing in this park once in a while again, or maybe the park would be completely removed……
(For your reference, this was the same park around six years ago, where I grew up in.)

Appreciate your journalistic ways of filming the movements of vehicles and pedestrians with the fragments of the footbridge as frames. Particularly in the first clip, taken from an abnormal angle the clip has a greater potential of developing a sufficient narrative. The abnormal angle enables us to contemplate on an infrastructure’s perspective during the pandemic. To strengthen the visuals and narrative, one suggestion would be completely filming with the footbridge’s perspective. Considering how the footbridge as infrastructure would be seeing the emptiness of itself. Appreciate also the trial in composition in clip 3, the pedestrian circulation are separated into 2 by the frame, heightening the dynamic movements. Though written in the text, the point on mask-wearing pedestrians was not filmed and conveyed successfully as the main subject. Rather the circulations were the main focus. For clip 4, consider what you would like to convey through depicting two footbridges with panning cameras.
For your final assignment, it would be great to see you expand your experimentations with camera techniques. Carefully consider how best to highlight the point you want to make, and choose the best framing technique for it.
Finally, could you identify for us the location of each of these videos?
