I got the inspiration from Dune 2. It’s not relevant to my final video essay, but I like the way how Dune depicts future. I put the na-baron Feyd Rautha here along with the Harkonnen army. I also put the black moon of Harkonnen and the blue eye of Freman as well, as they are kind of symbol of their own planet. I had imagined to put some texture of sand and the shining spice in it, but it takes time. Maybe I’ll try late after. And this is my story board, which is what I actually wanna shoot for

(Workshop 3) Mood board: The vanishing colours of the central pier – Larissa Lai
I plan to showcase the juxtaposition of the current central pier and the traditional central pier to demonstrate the architectural advancement whilst ironically, presenting its potential risks of vanishing. To accentuate this, I decided to implement a grey, black, white and blue colour scheme in representing themes of nostalgia and novelty.

The theme of my video is traditional gates which are in silver color and made of metal usually. Therefore, I put the picture of shiny metal to show the shininess. I put the Marvel character – silver surfer cause when I work with silver metal, I would think of him. Also, the color tone of the character provides a greater color gradient of silver showed in the picture at the bottom left corner. For the picture at the bottom middle, I want to focus on the grey sky which also matches the color theme. Finally, the last photo at

Man Mo Temple is one of the most revered Buddhist temples located in Sheung Wan at Hong Kong. This historical building has a solemn and heavy appearance. My storyboard weaves a narrative that celebrates staircases in their many forms and functions. From the elegance of grand architectural designs to the simple beauty of a staircase melding with nature, each frame tells a part of the larger story of how these structures connect and facilitate our journey through spaces, both man-made and natural.
