From Bertin Tong : What happens when there aren’t enough research material to work with for costume designs? Do you integrate more fictional features when that happens?
From Yifan ZHANG : I wonder do you use different materials when you do your model ,or just use same material to build the shape and then think about material?
From Jing Yan : Are these installations disposable? Are they used for any other purposes than the film? Thank you.
From Zhang Ziye : At what level should the costume design of the movie be appreciated? When designing a costume, do you prefer to design for the plot or for the character?
From Sze Lui Iris : I am curious how long would it take to finish a special makeup like this horror head, becoz it looks very complex and needs a lot of work. Is this mask used just once so everytime you need to start from beginning for makeup?
From Lai Kwong Ning, Max : Why are zombies in Chinese culture often dressed in official uniform from the Qing Dynasty? What is the historical background behind this phenomenon?
From Song Yang,Stella : Really appreciate your work behind a film to make it more attractive and real! And I am wondering what you will do if you are confronted with an entirely new territory (as you have mentioned). How do you do relevant research? Will you read some book related to it or something else? What’s more, I am also wondering the rate of the expense of customs in the whole expense of the production of a film. Thank you!
From Chan Sum Kie Dorcas : To what extent do you think there should be historical accuracy in costumes? People have been more and more educated and picky about this topic such as in Little Women (some liked the artistic design but many criticise it for being inaccurate). Do you think historical accuracy is really that important in movies?
From Man Ching Lai Ruby : How your studies and experience in London and New York influence your design approach when designing the tradition Chinese customer, like paper doll?
