[Field-Homework 2] Tunnel-A Shelter

Framing: A few people passing by the shelter from the rain because of contagion.

Lighting: It embraces the shy and lonely coming home from work during the outbreak.

Point of View Shot: I was drawn by the s of a car, stepping out of the tunnel. When I was looking for the cause of the sound and looking back, the only thing I can see was the empty tunnel. It acts as a silent guide to light up only a stretch of road.
I use POV(Point of View Shot) to focalize my(the character’s) experience and feeling regarding this space.

Slow-motion: After taking off masks, they won’t realize that they once passed by each other in the tunnel during the outbreak.

Time-lapse: It is waiting not only for pedestrians but also for cyclists, even though it has to wait much longer than usual during the outbreak.

This is a strong and clear subject matter – an underpass tunnel. You have presented it exceptionally well, with great creative flair and thoughtfulness. Excellent framing and editing techniques across your videos, especially for controlling the light sensitivity in the camera when capturing at night. Particularly striking is video 3 in which the din of the city (honking, traffic, footsteps) all heighten the mood and emotional experience of the visuals. The colour tones at 0:08 are especially vivid and strike a powerful contrast between the sepia street lamps vs cooler fluorescent floodlights. Appreciate also your poetic captions, especially the insightful point for video 4 about the anonymous encounters that exist in these transit/non-spaces, especially with our masked identity.
