City Dynamics
Synopsis:
Based on the previous assignments and the difference of space and a place suggested by Michel de Certeau, the documentary delves into the dynamics of the city space and the transformation between space and a place. Under the crisis, people isolate themselves and try to get rid of the crowd as far as they can. They wear masks to help them get rid of contagions and social interactions. People come and go, changing space into a place or vice versa relentlessly. Infrastructure, as one of the architectural typologies, is a common conveyer and catalyst of such movements.

Appreciate that you are thinking on several levels about this storyboard narrative: (1) in terms of film references to convey issues, (2) the way you chose to present the different perspectives of HK is thoughtful, and (3) the decision on going B&W as an effective way to convey a sense of dread. Overall a strong and coherent piece.
