[Field-Homework 3] HONGKONGUNDER-COVID-1920

Coronavirus, an uninvited guest, has changed our daily life in the past two months. We spent most of the time in our home. Having online lectures, watching TV programmes and observing the pedestrian with masks become part of our daily life. Besides, the cityscape of Hong Kong changed under the hygiene crisis. MTR stations underground are filled with passengers wearing masks while most of the street stores were closed under the poor economic atmosphere. The escalator system packed with crowds commuting in Mid-levels of Central, however, is less busy than usual working days. Under the trend of home-office, just a few commuters are walking on the busiest Des Voeux Road, along with the buses and trams riding with their usual pace.

  1. Ina Wu says:

Appreciate the various infrastructure you’ve depicted. However, it surveys of too many types of infrastructure and spaces. It would be much more insightful to pick one or several that are interrelated to each other (e.g. elevator + street / MTR + escalator / just the tram) and offer one further insight of this chosen subject on the subject of the virus.
What is the significance of 1920? Why is your piece titled COVID1920?
