The video essay will be taken in form of documentary, which depict the life of a typical household.  Settings will be conducted in an apartment that every single ‘defense system’ against virus has been installed like preventive measures compise cleaning with bleach and covering the bowl. In this sense, the interior space is total cut off from outside creating an atmosphere of complete isolation. Except his father as sole breadwinner, other family members were not able to leave home. Ah Ming found everyday was dreary and longed to hang out with his friends outside. Familial conflicts began to arise that ended up with Ming’s runaway. There came a sudden epiphany for him as he could not fall asleep at the park.

I would end the story by conveying the message that everyone of us should be thankful for being save and sound. How many people were suffering and dying at the ICU? How many people have lost their loved ones in the wake of this epidemic? Why don’t be cherish every moments with our family and be grateful for what we have got.

  1. Ina Wu says:

    • Consider doing a “HOW-TO” instruction video on the defensive measures and steps to take to prevent the virus from entering.
    • How will the documentary start and end?
    • Utilize your floor plan: Map out all the locations you conduct these defensive measures and plan beforehand on how to film.
