The coordination of various senses

To architectures and films,atmosphere is especially important. Films require the audiences to forget the world they are in and let their souls enter another body, so they change the light around you and use sound“to reinforce the lifelikeness of the anecdote”as ROLAND said.Is architecture only for visual aesthetics?I think we can learn something from films,think about more diverse sensory types in design. For example,in one building I saw,there was a blue pool, in which more than 200 porcelain bowls fluttered and collided with the current, making a clear sound.
As for the reproduction of artworks,BENJAMIN mentioned that it is not a bad thing for more people to have access to art by reproduction.One advantage is that we can use more senses,for example touch,to feel the artworks better.As we know,most sculptures are not touchable.However we can touch a duplicate to feel art.

    Appreciate your reflection on how both architecture and film invited for more than one sensory experiences. I would say that your point also subtly suggested that there are more than one ways to perceive the space and the story. Aside from your example, you can also highlight on how architecture uses different building materials to induce these sensory sensations. Some designers play with light and shadow (you might want to check Daniel Liebeskind’s Jewish Museum in Berlin, Germany, among others), some with natural elements such as wind, water, and pebbles/gravels. Another good addition to your reflection upon Benjamin’s suggestion on art work reproducibility is also by elaborating more on how the replica could help us to understand the original art. To what extent would the replica be useful? Would there be anything that cannot be transversed by the replicas?
