I think that the Walking City is very interesting, the idea is we can move our city to wherever we want. I find it very visionary because although it was raised in 196x, the author already foreseen the future of pollution and repressive regime. Imagine we can go to wherever we want, while living well enough inside one Walking City. This may solve the land problem of Hong Kong, because we can expand the city in the sea, although this may produce more pollution to the ocean. I think in the future we may have Walking City on the Mars because there is not enough oxygen and water. However, I do not think it will happen in my life, maybe after two hundred years Elon Musk finally moved to Mars, then people start migrating to the Mars, we will have our new home there because at the time Earth may not be suitable for human to survive.

I enjoy how you try to apply the ideas of Walking City to Hong Kong. In fact, a lot of sci-fi cities do not happen in real life, but something similar appears. For instance, isn’t nomads traveling in their caravans a kind of ‘walking city’? Although you may argue that the scale is very small with a limited number of citizens. Yet, I would like to encourage you to pay more attention to real-life examples and compare them with sci-fi cities. You may find significant similarities!
