Point of View Shot: I was drawn by the s of a car, stepping out of the tunnel. When I was looking for the cause of the sound and looking back, the only thing I can see was the empty tunnel. [Field-Homework 2] The Waterfront

The view from a part of the waterfront where Kowloon and part of Hong Kong Island can be seen under an overcast sky. The activity and relationship between leisure and the ocean can be seen by the instance of litter in the water, in this case, a cheap fishing utensil. The camera pans over the stretch of the waterfront, showing the construction work carried out and human activity despite the virus. The overcast weather shown adds to the gloomy atmosphere — despite human activity, the fear of the virus still looms. A zoomed in shot of a spotted dove flying

[Field Homework 2] Ups and Downs

1.(Static camera, dynamic object, reverse) This stairway is located on the podium garden of my housing estate. It is popular among residents of my housing estate, as they will need to get to the club house and leave the podium through the stairs. There should be more people using the stairs. Me being able to film myself walking up and down the stairs uninterrupted by others showed that fewer people go walk around the podium for fresh air during this part of the day. In fact, they should have more time and incentive to do so due to the virus

[Field-Homework 2]Melancholy

1) The longing to return home is halted as they arrive at the escalator. 2)The constant movement of the walkers…The constant avoidance of pausing. 3)Melancholy, in everyone’s mind. The video attempts to portray pessimism in people’s minds nowadays. Their fear of crowdedness and physical contact as they step foot onto the long arduous escalator, and amplifies as they reach to the top of the footbridge. Like the ocean waves, the herd of people flows in all directions. Their body tackling yours, their stoic masked faces facing towards you and their sharp eyes gleaming at you. Not only does the virus
