Emotions are like colours which have a wide spectrum. In my video, I used different colours to represent different emotions that the protagonist encounters due to the virus. In 2021, the lasting impacts of coronavirus will continue affecting the city while an array of feelings will be triggered. In this short video, the protagonist is churned up with an array of emotions. She feels bored because most of the activities are cancelled. She feels optimist when she connects with her friends. She feels depressed as she stays at home all the time. With the use of colours, her emotion journey could be demonstrated. However, everyone has different feelings on colours. Therefore, I did not put a lot of descriptions on the emotion of the protagonist. The audience can have different interpretations of the performance of the protagonist.

Stay home is DARK PURPLE. Bore and Unsettle.
Recovering is YELLOW. Optimistic and Hopeful.
Coronavirus is GREEN. Fear and Anxiety.
Discrimination is RED. Anger and Danger.
Quarantine is BLUE. Sadness and Depression.
The outbreak of coronavirus is really out of the BLUE.

I cannot say that I enjoyed your colorful video but I can say that I am totally amazed and impressed.
Using colors to reflect and enhance all kinds of emotions is a very smart idea and it surely works. You seem to exaggerate all kinds of emotions in your video. When you are happy, you seem high; when you are sad(blue), you seem devastated; when you are anxious, you seem as if you are sitting on fire. All emotions are clearly and powerfully presented in your video, it scares me a little but amazes me a lot.
I do think that if you could add more background music to enhance your emotions, it could be even better. For example, when you are chatting with your friends happily in yellow, you may as well add some happy sounds so that you could be even happier.
In general, I really like this video, not for this video itself because of such strong color contrast really scares me, but because of how innovative it is.

Very creative and interesting thought to use different colors to represent different emotions of the protagonist. Proper background music and shooting angle of different scenes. I like the green scene of catching deadline the most. The noise of the alarm clock and the focused shooting on the busy keyboard can let me directly feel the nervousness and panic of the protagonist. And the red scene can clearly tell me the story of being disturbed by the noise of fit up without any dialogue. The content of the whole story is also easy for me as a student to have resonance.

As an allegorical piece that explores the theory of colour associations with emotions, contextualized to the period of the pandemic, the content of your work is incredibly unique and excellently executed. The editing of the non-linear narrative is complimented by the wide range of camera angles and strong film editing, which demonstrates how you have taken the teachings from this course and turned theory into practice.

The organization and sequencing of the colour metaphors are easy to follow, and importantly, do not detract from the visual entity. In particular, the POV scene in red is highly sensorial and the scene places us in your shoes of heightened irritation. We are offered a visual and audio insight into the annoyance of outside noise pollution in addition to the din of the ringtone earlier. This uniquely city-characteristic was a clever approach at contextualizing us in the urban setting, despite only ever being in the interior space throughout the video.

In terms of references, the current bibliography is not reflective nor does it introduce additional information on our understanding of emotions and colors. It is important to investigate into other types of sources and branch out to form cross-disciplinary knowledge to understand more about colour theory. To further your research process, it is worth reading in-depth into colour psychology, colour and visual theory, published studies / journals in neuroscience that examine the effects of colour on humans. Afterward, try to come up with your own conclusions as to how the visual codifying of colours relates to concepts and or theories of space…hence, returning the focus to our course focus of architecture.

Appreciate that you colour coded the cameras around the apartment in your floor plan!
