I can see how HK and Macau are interchangeable to a certain extent; they are uncanny, in a way. Indoor shots might be less of a challenge to reproduce, but do you think there would be any details that are challenging to recreate?
Director –
Scriptwriter – What could be the storyline that you would like to develop here? I imagine different genre and storyline (action, romance, detective story, etc) would require a different kind of space.
Dir. of Photography – How would you recreate or induce the uncanny-ness between HK and Macau? What kind of angles you think would be helpful to recreate HK in Macau?
Producer – A producer is responsible for stitching the storyline to the physical set together with other crews; what kind of coordination do you think is essential in this production/film?
Production Designer – It would come in handy to also think more about the space rather than focusing solely on the urban elements, e.g. what are the things that you can only find in HK alleyways that are not in Macau’s?
Visual Effect Dir. – Discussing closely with the other crews, especially the directors, scriptwriters, and producers would allow you to have a better understanding of what visual effects would be needed to deliver a scene in the film!
Lighting supervisor – Filming in the evenings can help to hide several differences; how would you balance the neon lights from the advertisement boards/shop fronts? Whether or not you would need additional lightings could be a discussion to have with the director, producer, and scriptwriter.
