I choose shots of Tong Lau from different perspectives (low angle, close shot, from a window). Moreover, I focused on the color changes among pictures when integrating them. From left to right, the overall color is from light to dark, inferring the history and demolition, the ups and downs of Tong Lau.
In my mood board, I used a low saturation greyish-green tone. Most of these Tong Lau in Yau Ma Tei have a long history and are designed differently from modern buildings to serve their functions. I chose some different parts of the tenement building, such as the entrance and balcony, as well as signboards and so on. Zhang Xinyi 3036094813
My field trip place is Man Wah Sun Tsuen. My mood board focus on how to use color palette of warm mood ( Blue, Green , Orange) showing on the facade of building itself, with colorizing and highlighting the light and show to show the nostalgia of Man Wah Sun Tsuen.
My mood board showcases staircases in a warm brown palette, featuring polished wood, rustic timber, and metal accents. Soft lighting and greenery add an inviting touch. The design blends traditional and modern elements, emphasizing sophistication and coziness, ideal for contemporary homes that cherish classic elegance and warmth. Xiong Na Zona 3036260345
Alleyways are essential elements of the city, as they are the backstage of that. They serve different functions, like restaurants may wash dishes, trash may be put there, etc. However, they seem to be inconspicuous in Hong Kong. Therefore, the focus of the film will be the contrast between the lively city and the inconspicuous alleyway.
The Central Market, a landmark building that carries the memories of countless “old Hong Kongers”, has reopened after a comprehensive restoration after an 18-year hiatus, and has become a vivid and lively business card for the preservation and promotion of traditional Chinese culture and Hong Kong’s cityscape.
CCHU9034 Moodboard (Moodboard attached in this link). The goal/attempt in this moodboard is to show a deep pocket alleyway in the neighbourhood environment in Jordan, Kowloon – focusing on how these transition spaces between two streets are often neglected and hidden. The moodboard also attempts to show how a change in natural environment will change the conditions of the alleyway as well.
