Living Room and Bedroom: Interior to Exterior

1.Wide-angle: this is where I spend most of my time

2.Zoom: wanna join, but I can’t

3. Focus: only these 2 can be trusted
4. Crop: found some masks on Day 1, can you locate them?
5. Aerial: this photo is taken from my flat, which is high above the podium.
6. Worm’s eye: training at home
7. First person view: everyday entertainment
8. Skewed angle: long time no sports
9. Perspective: long, dimly lit corridor  (also incorporating contrast )

10. View frame: beautiful view out there

11. Contrast: bright sky, dark room

11. Due to the virus, I have decided to confine myself to my home, to reduce chances of being infected. The price for health is indeed freedom. Everyday, I look at the bright sky, wondering what I could do to enjoy my holiday; yet, I can only stay in my home. I feel that this indoor life is dull and boring; the contrast is crystal clear between how I long to enjoy this holiday and how it ends up to me.

12. Seriality: kids enjoying outdoor activities―what an exciting soccer game

  1. Eunice says:

Overall an adequate attempt at responding to the requirements of the task. For some of the photographs, it is not clear visually and in your text description why a particular technique is chosen to present a particular subject/s. Consider the technique in relation to the subject matter so as to offer insights into how you are thinking about the subject and its role in the current context.
Skewed angle – The photograph is not sharp (is this intentional?). As there are many angles here, to achieve an effective skewed angle, try to position all the lines similar so that only the key subject is dynamically skewed. Why do you choose this subject matter (sports equipment) for this technique?
Chiaroscuro – You have captured a strong contrast here
Seriality – To convey a clearer sense of movement and dynamism (and the double-feeling of boredom and leisure preoccupation that seems to be the recurring theme in your collection of photographs here), consider expanding the series to the duration of the entire soccer game, so many more shots may be needed.
