From my home, it can be seen that much less people are on the harbourfront walkway in the morning, which is usually the most crowded time with a lot of elder people.
Some people are not wearing mask, while others are more careful and wearing mask to protect themselves
In this scene, the dark cloud and the camera is steady while the wave is propagating right. This scene shows the object reservoir during the time of pandemic wave. The first indication of this scene is that the reservoir is not as busy as usual. Normally, the reservoir would be parked with party ships, but now only boats that are used in transportation are parked. Furthermore, the dark weather and the foggy distance view differs from normal day, in which observers were able to see Yau Tong in the opposite end of the Victoria Harbour. I tried to use this weather to represent the unknown future of Hong Kong under the pandemic attack and the waves of police brutality. Finally, the wave of water and sound of wind gives viewers feeling of devastation by fore majeure, and also the worrying that the slowing down situation of the pneumonia virus is going to reoccur.
Very spacey and empty walkway on the harbour front.
People are wearing masks and glasses to protect themselves from the saliva-borne virus. People are not going out unless they must have to.

The narrative sequence of the 5 videos is clear – from the bird’s eye view of the promenade to you walk on it. What determines the height of your camera position – your posture (sitting, standing, walking…)? There is also a sharpness in the quality of the videos. To what extent is this a default or, is there a particular purpose for it? How do you determine what camera technique to use in relation to the subjects? The sounds of the waves and absence of people talking is striking. This particular type of silence is something to consider in the making of your video essay.
