Apartment Quarantine City
To investigate how the COVID-19 epidemic affect the apartment set up. For example, more mask, alcohol pad and alcohol hand rub appear in everyone apartment.
Script
Ah finally wake up. Haven’t hang out for a while because of the COVID-19. Such a good day, maybe just hang out for a while.
Oh, my leg numbness.
Oh, is run out of hand wash. I will just buy it on the way.
New cloth is needed since every time the cloth will be contaminated when we go out.
Na, no alcohol pad is needed just walk for a while.
Wu hu let’s go. Wait, did I miss something? Where is my mask!
Where are the masks. Wait what? Did my parents just washed the masks and want to reuse it? No way! It still wet. Just throw it away.
Oh, there we go. 3M respirators, not that appropriate for the situation right now since the epidemic is not that serious and there are no filters for the air valve. So that it cannot filter the air that you breath out. Surgery mask, although it has a good protection, it doesn’t match the cloth that I wear so maybe next one. The mask made in China with no ASTM international stranded. So, it doesn’t have the protection. Anti-pollen mask, it cannot prevent the virus. KF 49 made in Korea, that is the thing that I want. But this is gray in color. Oh, I got it. Is the Blue one.
Oh, is sun set right now. Hope the COVID-19 will go out quickly and brings the normal lifestyle back.
Background
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, our apartment changes a lot. The hand wash, alcohol paid, and the most important things-mask become part of our apartment. In this video, it shows a short story showing my normal day during the COVID-19. From washing face to changing cloths and finally go out and discover I forgot to wear the mask. While finding the mask, some way of reusing mask is inappropriate. And finally, showing different types of mask and have explain some details about the masks.
Method of research
The topic is about apartment and the first thing come out of my mind is what have been changed in the apartment after the pandemic, the answer is mask. Therefore, I tried to link the mask to the apartment. I have bought almost all the type of mask in the market and try to research them and describe them slightly. Like the ASTM international stranded talking about the protection level of the mask (PRIMED,2021). 3M one way air valve (3M,2021).
Objectives and reflections
In the video, washing and reuse the mask such kind of handling the mask inappropriately is shown. It is hoped that the public can take it seriously. Moreover, the way of distinguishing the mask is also important. Like the production place and the protection level. It is hoped that the public can care about personal hygiene and hope the COVID-19 will go away quickly.

U definitely show how people’s apartments change due to Covid-19 like those bunch of masks and those hand sanitizers ,I also like how you show the inappropriate handling of masks in the video ,I believe some people still steam or wash their masks these days to save some masks , the message you bring out is great -to educate people to have better sense of personal hygiene.I wish you can show more apartments and compare the how the set up differentiate accordingly to the house owners’ jobs but still this is a nice video ! Love the wide array of masks that you have at home!! So, what have you discovered throughout your processes in researching for and creating this video? You mentioned some features of different types of masks. More rigorous research would better elevate your essay and argument! One of the ways to add depth to your argument is to relate the mask to space. For example, you could dig a little deeper into the specification of different masks for different types of spaces, etc. Or, you could also do some survey of the most popular type of mask. Or maybe, pose other inquiries on how many masks do people “hoard” at home and how much storage space would be required? That way, not only you can narrate your story through the masks, but also use your research as a solid ground to lay your arguments upon.
