  1. Man Mo Temple is located on Hollywood Road in Sheung Wang.

This is a representative of Chinese culture and a Taoist temple.

It is a first-class historical building and a statutory monument in Hong Kong.

It is mainly dedicated to Emperor Wenchang and Emperor Wu.

Looking at this building, you can see that it has obvious Chinese characteristics. The unique eaves and walls of the traditional Chinese courtyard make it particularly conspicuous in the high-rise streets of Hong Kong.

  1. Chinese Rhenish Church, Hong Kong

Walking up this slope, we can see a towering Western-style church, which represents Western culture and belongs to the Christian church.

The Rhenish Missionary Society (RMG) is a church belonging to the Protestant Church. The Rites originated in the Crown City (Wuppertal ˉ Barmen) in the province of Leine, Germany.

  1. Graffiti wall

With a turn of the camera, we can see that there is colorful and interesting graffiti on the walls of many alleys on the streets of Hong Kong, and graffiti culture is representative of Western literature, which originated in New York, the United States.

  1. Zhao Chenghang

From the alley, you can see the classic Chinese specialty shop – Zhaochenghang. This is a 60-year-old brand. It is famous for its aromatherapy oil in Hong Kong. You can see that many people come here every day due to its fame.

method

This video mainly adopts a contrasting approach to highlight the harmonious coexistence of Chinese and Western cultures without disturbing each other. The contrast shooting method allows the audience to intuitively feel the differences between Chinese and Western cultures and the visual impact of coexistence in the same space.

The classification of montage includes narrative montage, contrast montage, performance montage, accumulation montage, reproduced montage, cross montage, parallel montage, lyrical montage, and metaphorical montage.

The video adopts the shooting method of contrast montage, comparing different picture images and different picture elements of montage, and makes each other’s “colors” more distinct through sharp opposition or strong contrast. Contrast between the lenses to form an effect of emphasis, contrast, etc.

This video is roughly divided into three sections. The common point is that they all reflect our theme cities from the streets of Hong Kong. The different points are the different focus functions of different locations.

The first part is religion. The video directly shows the coexistence of two different religions in Hong Kong by presenting buildings with religious characteristics. First of all, the way we shoot the Man Mo Temple is to gradually bring the camera closer to the door so that the audience has the feeling of entering the door by themselves. Finally, we can see the plaque of the Man Mo Temple and deepen the audience’s impression. Next, the shooting method of the Chinese Rhenish Church is a distant view. From the bottom of the slope, you can see a very conspicuous Western-style cathedral in the middle of the residential building, reflecting a sense of extension.

The second part is the street scenery. The graffiti wall with Western characteristics is in sharp contrast to the Chinese shop, especially the store contains two elements of China and the West. The shooting of the graffiti wall uses a long-range shooting method. From the bottom of the stairs, you can see that the wall on the side of the whole staircase is covered with graffiti. Zhao Chenghang’s shooting is shot in close-up, and you can clearly see the signboard of the store and the guests waiting inside and outside. The shooting of the street scene uses mobile recording, giving people the feeling of walking on the streets of Hong Kong to see Chinese shops in person.

The third part is the characteristic punching scenic spots. Hong Kong attracts many tourists, and its famous scenic spots are compatible with the two characteristics of China and the West, which also reflects the characteristics of the coexistence of Chinese and Western cultures in Hong Kong. The shooting of Stairs Street adopts the close-up extended photography method, starting from the bottom of the stairs and gradually walking up, carefully experiencing the beauty of the Chinese style. The shooting method of Victoria Harbour is long-range shooting. You can enjoy the beautiful night scenery of the whole Victoria Harbour and experience the prosperity of Hong Kong.

The cohesion of the whole video is very good, and the shooting is very clear, and the whole video is very organized. The only shortcoming is that I think the background music can be changed to reflect the characteristics of the movie.

It is a wonderful video with deep meaning. After watching the video I would love to visit the Man Mo Temple. The soundtrack of the video is very serene and matches the topic of this selection very well. The video proceedings are smooth and show the tourists’ perspective in a natural way by moving the camera.
