An apartment in the film certainly plays an important role. Not only can it be the setting but also the plot. To me, it is definitely interesting that the apartment plot can be merging with other movie genres. Besides, the apartment in the film surely provides a new experience to the audience, like what the writer mentioned the apartment can primarily be a touristic space for most viewers. From the most basic building of architecture, the apartment, not only the viewers can clearly see the exterior and interior of the apartment itself but also the surroundings. Especially when the particular apartment in the film is shown in different ways such as outside-in and inside-out, therefore the audience can have a look at the environment from different perspectives. However, I do think that this is not only an apartment, even though the term is “apartment plot”, but any buildings and places also perform in the same way can be part of the plot to reveal more about culture, lifestyle and history or even urban development of the city or country.
