Tracking
This clip tracked how the tram was moving on its own way in urban traffic context, whose speed was remarkably lower than other vehicles.
Static Camera
This clip was shot in the intersection of zebra crossing, vehicle lane and tram track, which was complicated and overlapping on each other.
Unexpected Camera Location
Taken from a footbridge above the tram track, the diversity and transition of urban traffic circulation(sidewalk – bus stop – vehicle lane – tram track – vehicle lane – sidewalk) could be seen more clearly.
Cropping
This video was recorded from a very low angle and focused on the track itself, which provides a close-up moment on how tram and pedestrians are using the circulation space in a sequence.
Differentiation of speeds
The traffic network in Hong Kong’s urban context is quite complicated due to the topography and density. The tram is actually going through a busy commercial street, where booths and stores sit right aside the tram track. By differentiating the speed of video before, during and after the tram appears in sight, a dramatic shift of major space users(people-tram-people) is created. The interesting moments that people clear a path for the tram and then go back to occupy the track are also enhanced by this technique. Besides, it helps to show a fluid and flexible spatial quality along the tram track as well.

The angles are frankly a little generic and perhaps too many information literally documented in a scene. The low angle crop is nice as it focus on the relations between the moving objects and the ground, which may potentially be a good tool to analyse the urban surface.
