There are changes from the initial mood board but the essential idea remains the same. The video is a documentary that illustrates ‘Advancement’, which reflects the change of urban landscape after the coronavirus. Rather than perceiving forceful changes caused by coronavirus as a compulsion, I perceived as a advancement of urban life. People are more acknowledging the importance of hygiene and changes in our daily life has suggested potential development and change in our life like cyber education or telecommuting. Hence, this video will reflect the changes after the COVID-19.

Waking up in the morning is the only thing that has not changed since the outbreak of COVID 19.
As usual, the sun is bright and as usual, it is hard to get up in the morning.
It is hard to go out, but it is always allowed to step out to the veranda.
Stepping out looking down my feet and down the balustrade, none a single person is passing by.
The day starts with checking the schedule to see today’s lecture.
Rather than going to the campus, lecture starts by turning on the laptop.
Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, the use of ZOOM has exponentially increased.
Suzhou, China has adopted a system to show a Health Code when entering a place.
Including own apartment; to prove oneself is not infected to the virus.
Wearing a mask is compulsory in Suzhou.
Even though it is daytime, there are no people.
Swinging chair, which kids used to sit ahs been left empty for a while.
I am out here just to get deliveries at the North gate.
All the deliveries are delivered at the North gate.
No one can pass through this gate. Only the south gate is opened, limited to the residents.
Coronavirus has limited the entry and exit of people.
The major change since the outbreak is that most of the outdoor activities and appointments are cancelled.
Washing heads after returning is a routine and washing hands with soap for 20 seconds is compulsory.
Our daily life has paused and is restricted due to COVID 19
Technologies have highly incorporated into our daily life
People are looking for indoor activities to overcome the emptiness
Perhaps the pause is giving us a chance to see the world from a different perspective
Why not accept the change?

There are many changes that you have documented in your film, but are they all advancements of urban life? How do you define advancement? Is it solely the use of technology? More references are needed, especially if it is not. If it is, how do you convey the advances made possible due to technology?
Each scene can be better curated, in terms of framing, length, and angles. Also, the scene at the delivery corner was unexpected. What are you trying to tell your audience in this scene? Overall, your film could have a stronger impact by focusing on one issue and the different aspects in which it has enabled the advancement of people’s lives.
