[Field-Homework 1] A day in home

  1. Wide-angle: The sky is dark and cannot go out.

2. Zoom: It seems that there are many masks, but most of them are empty.

3. Focus: This mask is used more than 7 times. I understand that a mask should not wear more than one time, but there is no other way to solve this problem. I remember that my parents buy these masks very hard and also, they are so expensive. Therefore, when I think this mask is very valuable in this situation, I do not want to spend a new mask or use the old mask again. I stop my foot and decide to eat lunch at home.

4. Crop: Eat a candy as I am hungry.

5. Bird’s eye / aerial: Thinking what lunch I should eat today.

6. Worm’s eye: Try to pour some water in u-shaped trap.

7. First person view: See when the delivery will come.

8. Skewed angle: Eat many supplements for our health.

9. Perspective: Looking the figure through the glass.

10. View frame: Open the door and wait the delivery.

11. Chiaroscuro / Contrast: Although inside the house is dark, I hope one day we can go out as normal.

12. Seriality: I am looking this figure and thinking how to attack the virus by a few seconds.

Overall, you demonstrate good understanding of the task. Appreciate your effort in composing the Bird’s Eye and Worm’s Eye views. Clever choice of the first person’s view.
There are a number of photographs where the application of techniques could be better clarified so that they communicate the ideas behind them more strongly visually.
Focus – Poignant subject matter. Consider unfocusing the background in the distance so as to sharpen the mask and its outline that you wish to focus on.
Crop – What is being cropped? The sweets? Then consider cropping off one or two ends of the tube of sweets (even better yet, cropped at a specific section to convey a particular message visually)
Perspective – intriguing choice of subjects and composition. What is the perspective exactly?
View frame – the are many frames here. which one and what are you highlighting? If you mean for the entire grill to be the view frame, then perhaps try zooming out to include the frame itself.
Seriality – while the 3 shots, each one more zoomed in than the next, make up a series, there are no variables here that provide more insight through the series that a single photograph could not (except perhaps a little more detail). Consider adding another variable to the series to introduce a layer of commentary/critique.
