Out of the many aspects of Hong Kong that make it the perfect setting for many science fiction films, one of the most important would be it’s modern architecture that manifests around the daily hubbub of Hong Kong’s fast-paced life. Des Voeux Road in Central is a classic example of this. The chrome and glass high-rises tower along the entire stretch of the road, and give the area an eclectic, modern appeal. Sleek and tall skyscrapers with a dense network of banks, neon-lit shops and retail stores has always given the image of a fast-paced technologically advanced society and helps in giving a developed information technology network a physical form. By using pictures, trash, colour schemes and notes, I have attempted in highlighting this unique aspect of Hong Kong.
