The Yee Wo Street circular bridge is the final fight scene in the movie, Ghost in the Shell. The circular boundary acts like an arena for the fight. In the movie, I feel like the repetitive structure on the bridge is a constant frame capturing different things. After stepping into the bridge in real life, I consider it as a tunnel with constantly changing images on 2 sides. That everchanging but stable ambience made me think of a kaleidoscope. That is why I made a kaleidoscope collage. To increase the complexity, I included images with different components such as passengers, vehicles, light boards and greenery which are framed by the bridge’s structure. Photos were taken all by myself during both day and night also to create a time travel vibe.
