[MOOD BOARD] Fencing

COVID-19 has now lead to a world-wide lock-down, and endless quarantines. “Fencing” will be a documentary with calm mood, well combining the soothing, peaceful mood and scenes of India during the quarantine. It aims to discuss the short range of movements one is allowed to make [bed, desk, window], and the idea of ‘safety’ with the ‘fencing’ that has been created through constant portrayal of borders. The target of the documentary follows one in white over-sized T shirt, aimed to represent the blank yet peaceful state. The music albums around the desk represents the change in role of a desk

[Mood Board] Routine

What if the outbreak of the coronavirus never ends? My video essay will be based on my own daily “routine” since the outbreak of the virus, but with a little twist. The clock, which represents time, is the core of the video. When the “usual” schedule is messed up by the virus, the whole time schedule and the routine that I go on every day have changed. Being home all the time may have changed my life negatively, but it also grants me an opportunity and the time to learn something new, which will be revealed in the video.

[Mood Board] Relationships

The break out of the coronavirus forces people to live in a different way- home-office, online shopping, no-social activities, etc. This significant change restricts people’s movements, as everyone cannot even walk out or gather with friends and family. We may be able to stay with parents, but conflicts between generations happen more frequently. We cannot hang out with friends but playing with the phone, so the relationships between friends and colleagues are distant. So, what will happen to an individual’s relationships? Stemming from the aspects of relations between people during such a unique situation, I will create a documentary describing

[MOOD BOARD] Co-existing

This is a story revolving around a human and a creature.  The protagonist found an unwelcomed guest in the house one day. Anything living object within a certain radius of the creature (‘C’) collapsed immediately. Since efforts to chase the creature away were of no avail, the protagonist was in modus vivendi of sorts with the creature under the same roof. However, the coexisitence faces a new challenge.  The creature becomes less and less lively as time went by.  The protagonist would have to make a decision.  What would life be after ‘C’ is finally gone? 3035696846 Tam Yan
