Feild trip 2:The escalator

https://youtu.be/vBnKMHAQC0o

The video presents techniques as follows,

1 Differentiations of Speed

The frame divided in to left and right, seeing people walking up the escalator and walking down in the other side.

2 Framing

I was trying to frame through diagonals by shooting the light of the escalators when I am taking the escalator

3 Camera is placed in a unexpected location

The camera is put on one of the handrails of the stairs next to the escalator, it seems to be shooting the escalator, but when you look close to it, you can see a pedestrian walking shadow through the glass of the escalator.

4 Cropping

Trying to crop the frame using the road signs found on the escalator

5 Slow Motion

Filming a woman trying hardly to take her baby car out the escalator

One of the special phenomenon I found in the escalator was, the road was clearly divided, either up or down.
Therefore, I’m trying to shoot a frame with half of the frame is people trying to go up and the other half is people trying to go down.

When I am watching my playback, another interesting issue was found, the left and right was walking in a totally different speed. Obviously the one walking on the escalators is the fastest.

I think the ups and downs are really one of the special and unique things about this place.
