[Field-Homework 1] Wake up in the Morning

Wide angle:

Corridor that connect my room and the living rooom

Zoom:

Picture of my family and I clipped on the desk.

Focus:

‘What time is it?”Seven.’

Crop:

Medicine I take in the morning to treat ADHD.

Bird’s eyes:

Morning view of the street, the reservoir and nearby housing through the window of my room. Much less busy than the days before coronavirus

Worm’s eye:

First and most important things to do in the morning for modern teenagers: Check the phone notifications!!

First person view:

This is me trying so hard to get up from my bed. Without the motivation of being late to class, it has become much harder!

Skewed angle:

The light used to have a glass cover on it–that was until I kicked my slipper so high and broke it.

Perspective:

My mom took a freshly made bread out from the kitchen!

View frame:

This is my computer. It is mainly used to play games and shop online. Wait what? It can also visit moodle hku and panopto???? Wow, I don’t know that!

Contrast:

The dark side is the toilet and the bright side is the living room. Cleaning up is an essential part of my daily routine. When I was getting ready, my mind was still not awake; and after I finished my daily routine, I am all refreshed, bright, and ready for the day. In fact, brushing teeth and cleaning face in the morning is not only a sanitary and dental health issue, there are researches showing relationship between heart disease and those who don’t take care of their teeth! On top of that, it always bring positive energy to people when they are all cleaned. Given the situation right now, a lot of people are too lazy to clean themselves because they don’t have to go out that day, but that is so wrong. So, remember to take care of your teeth even in a rush morning so that you will always have a bright day ahead of you!

Sereiality:

This series of photo shows the progression of me in eating my breakfast. I usually drink the milk first while playing with my phone, and then eat the bread.

Overall, the photographs show a good attempt to engage with the requirements of the task. The text is autobiographical and reflective of the larger situation.
Cleansing and eating – the two strongest photographs in your collection in terms of their visual composition and communication of ideas!
Wide angle shot seems to be more a perspective shot?
Appreciate your candid sharing into your life in the Zoom, Focus, Crop and Skewed shots
First person’s view – in this shot, that would be the view of your parent/sibling?
Perspective – are you referring to the lines of the loaf as the perspective? (cf. your wide angle shot)
View Frame – There seems to be more than one frame in the view frame – intentional?
Together, your photographs conveys the sense of us entering a page of your diary.
